Wow that was ridicoulous, i feel like a fast forward through alot of songs while i listen on shuffle, and looking through the list of bands in my library it looked like there wouldnt be that many on this list. i was wrong. I have always wanted to have a part on my blog for "Now Playing" a la Mr. Hemauer's, but alas i generally listen on shuffle which means i am now playing like 20 some various bands. I thought this would be easier, but this took like 2 1/2 hours, so much for saving time.

i hate playing games (with women)
Men generally love games, both physical and mental, but of all the games men love the one game men hate is the mind game that women try to play with us. Let me start at the beginning, i am currently playing said mind games with this girl Amy. She was the one who was ridicoulously kind and sweet and walked me back to my car a few weeks back. So i called her two days later, on sunday, and asked her out for a date sometime the next week, she said sure but that she works monday and wednesday nights, so i asked how about tuesday, valentine's day, she said sure, so we decided to go out for dinner, and possibly a movie afterwards. We went to rock bottom, i brought a rose, we talked and ate, it went very well, then we decided to see the 9:55 showing of Match Point, so i drove us over by the theater and we went to a bar near to have a few beers until the film started. We played pool and darts and talked, however, she kept getting calls and text messages from a friend who she promised to drive somewhere(it's a long legit story, and i am 99% it wasn't to cut the date short). So we left the bar and i drove her back to her car (she insisted we meet at the bar because she thought it would be unfair for me to drive all the way to pick her up in oak creek, since it would be at rush hour, about a 45 min ride to her house from mine, and another 30-40 min from her house to downtown), so we arrived back at the lot she parked in by the restaurant, and we were saying out goodbyes, and she asked me if i wanted to go out again, i, of course, said sure. Then i leaned over to kiss her goodnight and just before i got to her lips, the lot attendant knocked on the window to ask for payment, she turned her head at the last moment, and i kissed her cheek. I don't know for sure whether she turned to give me the cheek to kiss or whether it was because the lot attendant had just knocked on her window, but i'm hopeful for the latter.
The next day she sent me a text message, "Thanx 4 great time last nite! Amy :)", i called her a day or two later, and we had a good conversation, i learned she had been sick since sunday, i had actually started feeling sick on tuesday the day of the date, i also learned she was having an outpatient surgury on Friday, the call ended. I planned on calling Friday in the early evening to see how the surgury went, and cause i thought it was a nice gesture. But she called me on Friday at about 4:30, after she had woken up from a nap after the surgury. It was a pleasant surprise, and i was unbelievably impressed with just how nice, sweet, and atypical she was, or seemed. We were also both still sick and i somehow had also gotten pink eye. On Saturday, she called again during the day and we talked for a while, and talked about hanging out that night. She called later in the day and told me a friend of hers was coming in from Madison and her and some friends were going out, she also said she still wanted to hang out tonight, and asked if i would come meet up with her and her friends at the bar they were going to, i said maybe and asked what she was doing tomarrow in case i didn't meet her and her friends that night, so we made tentative plans for the next day, and before the call ended she again said she hoped i could meet her and her friends at the bar they were going to. I then wanted to meet up with her later at the bar and thought it would be a good idea. So after having a few drinks with some friends on water street, i went to flannery's, at about 11:45, were they would be at, it all went very well they all seemed very nice, and talkative, and i left them about an hour later when they were going to another bar.
The next day she said she would call before of after this meeting she had a 2 pm, she never called, the next afternoon she sent a text message, " sorry i didn't call- busy day! talk 2 u later Amy :)", i called her the next afternoon after she got out of work, but it went to voicemail and i left a message, she still hasn't called back.
While i know i am overreacting and overthinking everything, i am still bothered at these apparent games she seems to be playing. i realize that there is quite possibly and maybe even definately an innocent reason for these actions that i am interpreting as games. But, unfortunately, this is the way the male brain works, and we often try to figure out women but have no idea. i interpret her lack of returning my calls (i am aware that she hasn't returned my calls for a relatively short period of time, but i am just comparing it to how frequently and often she would call me previously) as her trying to establish some control and to see how needy i am, and how much space i will give her. i do also realize the the length and amount of details i have provided may appear needy, and obsessive, but again i think for most guys reading this they would understand and think it is natural and normal, while i am not sure and curious what women whould think reading this. One possible hypothesis i have is that after i met her friends, they told her to play hard to get and play these specific games with me to test me. They seem out of character for her, and contradictory to how she was previously acting, such as offering to walking 8 blocks back to my car in 25 degree weather. I further hypothesize that women are not like this naturally, they naturally wouldn't play these games, but they are told by their friends that this is how they are supposed to do it because other friends have told them that's how to do it, and dating books and other sources have told them that is how they are supposed to do it. Previously she called me when she said she would or when she seemed to wanted to. Oh and just to tell a little more about her she is 22, working on her thesis for her master degree in occupational therapy. So needless to say she is very smart, and very dedicated to school and finishing. Any thoughts?

sCHLITZ aUDUBON
Well 2 sundays ago, i had the whim to go hiking, my favorite place in the milwaukee area is schlitz audubon, which is located by fox point. So i went and had a blast, it wasn't too cold, it was beautiful, and it was almost completely vacant. i subsequently took about 300 photo's, listened to my ipod, and hiked. The following are from that time and place.
I wish i had posted these earlier, among other posts i plan, but i became sick on tuesday, and somehow got pink eye on thursday, and have been laying around since ingesting as many vitamins, minerals, and such as my body could handle.

Stacy or Tracy and a Stripper
So a few weeks ago a friend of Duffey's had a birthday party, he is from south chicago, and there it is customary to have a stripper for your birthday, so he had a stripper for his birthday. Winters, Duffey, and i thought it sounded like fun, and a good photo opportunity, so we went. On our way in John got to talking to the concierge of the building, who he had met once before, she asked where we were going, he told her we were going to a birthday party, she asked if she could come, john said sure eventhough he knew a stripper was coming. Once we got there we drank and waited for the "performer". While waiting john got to talking to the concierge, within 2 maybe 2:30 minutes they were making out, and we were all laughing and giggling at them, and i was taking photo's of them (photo's that john doesn't want me to share), they then quickly left, and said they'd be back in an hour, maybe more. Eventually the "performer" got there an hour late after everyone had become quite inebriated, and quite ready for a performance. She began her routine, and while she was attractive and sexy, it was definately a let-down. She informed us aswell that she was a nude model online, and had done a few porno's, her stage name was ann-marie anderson, in case you want to find any of her stuff online, she also said we couldn't take any photo's but she was kinda dumb. I personally have never enjoyed going to strip clubs either, and found the experiences funny and hilarious, rather than sexy or anything. But this was a new experience and a chance to get some interesting photo's. Some of the results are thus posted. As well as john and the concierge, her name was Stacy or Tracy, he doesn't remember which.

What's the difference between a pile of bowling balls and a pile of babies?
You can't use a pitchfork on a pile of bowling balls.
I just thought of this joke today a realized it's one of my favorites.
But the real reason i am posting currently, at 2:51 am, is that i met one of the most amazing people i have met in a while. Not surprisingly, she is a women, she goes by Amy. I met her while hanging out with Matt Marino, Karen Ernston, Jenny Bertram, and some other interesting people. I was planning on hanging out with some other people, but that all fell through, and i digress. Anyway, she was a friends of a friend of Jenny, who i know as a friend of Matt. We got to talking and i became interested, well actually i became interested after i saw how attractive she is, but i became even more interested after we talked. But she and her friend soon left and went to Buckhead to meet some other people. The group i was with wanted to go to mcgillacuddy's, so we went to mcgillacuddy's soon there after, but with my constant prodding about Buckheads, we left mcgillacuddy's after one drink, and went to buckhead. Once there we bumped into Amy and her friend again, and Amy and i talked and talked and talked, then her friend wanted her to dance, but she told her she wanted to stay and talk to me ;) so we continued to talk and talk, then the bar time came, and she asked where i parked, i parked about 8 blocks away, so she offered to drive me back to my car with her friends, but her friends told her it would be a tight fit so she immediately offered to WALK me back to my car, i asked if she was sure, and said i could walk by myself, but she INSISTED. So we walked the 8 blocks back together to my car, it is 25 degrees out, and she doesn't have a coat, just a thin black long sleeve t-shirt, so i gave her my sportcoat to wear, of course, when we got there her friends were there waiting, and we said goodnight.
I realize this may be boring to most, if not all, but i was and am still flabbergasted, and overwhelmingly impressed that a girl would do that. I simply can't get over how amazed i am that a girl would do that and i just needed to talk about it and tell someone.

Busy, Lazy, and lots of photo's
Here are a bunch of photo's i took on the ski trip.
It's been a little while cause i've been kinda busy searching for a job, and kinda lazy due to the constant rejection. But before that i went on my ski trip out to Breckenridge and Vail. It was a lot of fun, mostly due to the skiing, and kinda shitty, due to the people who came. The 24 hour bus ride out there was brutal, the first 3 hours to La Crosse from Milwaukee was great because it was with some UW-Milwaukee students that turned out to be really nice, fun, etc. But the subsequent 21 hours with rest of the bus filled with UW-La Crosse students absolutely sucked. These are some of the things i wrote about the trip in my moleskine . . .
~ WOW- For the last 24 hours i have been in a cramped bus with some of the stupidest, most ignorant, most depressing people i have been around in a long time. The sheer lack of common sense, any basic reason, and proud ignorance is truly saddening. I am extremely excited about all the amazing skiing, but I am extremely dreading spending much time with most of these people.
~ This guy i'm staying with spilled his beer and choose to clean up the spill with a burrito over a towel which was on the other side of the burrito.
~ On the ski lifts i only take out my earphones and pause my iPod to talk to people over 30.
~ It's surprising (or is it) how unsure most people are about themselves.
~ Over the whole week in Breck there was never a point when at least one person wasn't passed out/sleeping, out of 8 people staying in the condo.
But the skiing was absolutely amazing, and worth everything. Furthermore, it was ridiculously beautiful out there and i took about 800 some photos. Since i have been back i have been searching job ads in which 99% want 3-5 years experience, applying to said job ads, and hearing back from .1% of jobs applied for. Needless to say it is a brutal process and really sucks the life out of you.
Other than that i have been watching lots of films, and watching the first season of Lost on DVD. If you haven't seen Lost then my opinion of you just lowered. It is simply amazing, and it is the only thing i have experienced in which i sit on the edge of my seat, Literally, thoughout each new episode. Unfortunately and fortunately it is not a show you can just watch and get into, there is a lot of background info about each character, and there are a lot of mysteries. But i guarantee it is worth your time and commitment.
Here are even more photo's i took on the ski trip.
P.S. Today, i also posted a comment on Mark's blog using my name. This is the first time i have really told anyone about this blog, even though i haven't literally told anyone. If someone is curious enough and looks at my profile they will see that i have a blog and can thus read it. Before this i was simply writing this all for myself as kind of an experiment/exercise/therapy, but i am curious to see what kind of response i get.
